Our Projects
Acteon, a marine energy and infrastructure services provider in the renewable energy sector, acquired a stunning office space with views of the River Wensum in Norwich. Their design brief focused on creating a contemporary, functional, and practical workspace that mirrors the flow of water and nature, embodying their identity and promoting team cohesion.
In a smaller workspace, enhancing natural light is a key ambition for any designer. Even more so when you have a view that everyone wants to feel and experience. Our design team therefore reworked the floor plan at Acteon, so that as you walk into the office you see the feature window with the stunning scenery behind it. The meeting rooms were moved to the back as they needed privacy which meant no matter where you were in the office you could experience the beautiful views.
Already working within a hybrid working environment, the design of the workspace was positioned to create a homely and inspiring feeling, that would attract their employees back into the office and support their well-being. Tones and colours were purposefully neutral to allow the stunning backdrop of the river and nature to speak for itself. Complemented by pops of natural green in the meeting booths and pods, acoustic walls added texture and acoustic breeze baffles added curves within the space.
Within the workspace, the client required adaptable meeting areas to accommodate both informal and private meetings. The primary meeting space is open-plan, featuring strategically placed sliding screens to offer a degree of seclusion. The design thoughtfully incorporates brand elements, with the wind turbine shapes prominently featured. Additionally, two C-suite rooms serve as meeting spaces when the management team is absent, complemented by a meeting booth and phone booth for focused work.
