Cambridge Women in Property Launch Success

On Thursday 15th May, the new Cambridge Chair of Women in Property, Lizzie Bradbury (Communication and Engagement Manager at COEL), launched a new event series providing the property industry with a much needed networking platform in the region.

Women (and men) in Property Law, Property Agencies and Consultancy, as well as Architects, converged for the first event since Covid. Selling out in a matter of days, the event saw 40+ attendees enjoy a tour around the newly converted workspace at Mantle’s 95 Regent Street.

Inspired talks from guest speakers

Finishing up the tour on the glorious roof top, Lizzie introduced the evenings key speakers:

Nicholas Bewes of FutureIN Apprenticeships was joined by Annie Wolf, Department for Work and Pensions, and Morgan Sindall’s Hollie Setchell. Together they spoke about the opportunities this new apprenticeship route offers for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and of the impact the unique initiative has already made.

We also heard from Sol Escobar, Founder of Give Your Best, an award-winning ‘tech for good’ social enterprise offering the first circular platform of its kind where people and brands donate clothes online, so communities living in clothing poverty can shop for free with dignity they deserve.

It’s great to have topped off the event having donated over £900 through ticket donations, to support the Give Your Best initiatives that Sol Escobar described so passionately.

Women in Property Cambridge Event Highlights May 2024

Thank you to our hosts, Mantle, and to the Gonville Hotel, for making the night such a success.

We also thank our fantastic speakers for joining us and of course Women in Property for enabling a platform to introduce such initiatives to the industry.
