Our Projects

Research Institute

A world-leading research and educational institute, based in the Cambridge-Oxford Arc, required a range of office furniture for their newly constructed building. Our furniture and move team were on hand to furnish their new workspace, whilst relocating their office and over 450+ employees.

Space planning for an optimal layout

As a trusted commercial relocation partner with prior experience supporting the institute, we were invited to tender for their furniture framework and subsequently assist with their office move. Our team provided early-stage consultancy and space planning to help identify the most suitable furniture solutions for their new workspace. We then supplied and installed over 200 sit-stand desks and orthopaedic chairs, 285 meeting room chairs, 46 meeting tables, 7 portable whiteboards, as well as breakout and collaborative furniture to support a flexible and functional environment.

Prioritising wellbeing through ergonomic design

With a clear focus on supporting employee health and wellbeing, our client placed strong emphasis on selecting ergonomic office furniture that offers both comfort and flexibility. The inclusion of adjustable-height desks and orthopaedic chairs promotes long-term health benefits that are vital in today’s workplace. Following the project’s success, an additional 268 adjustable desks were supplied to staff in other buildings—demonstrating a consistent and inclusive commitment to wellbeing across the entire organisation.

Ethical furniture recycling

As part of a major upgrade to new office chairs and desks, our team coordinated the dismantling and ethical recycling of existing furniture through the Senator Sustain scheme. This environmentally conscious initiative enabled the institute to divert 14,607 kg of furniture from landfill, resulting in a carbon saving of 20,234.26 kg/CO₂. The effort significantly reduced their carbon footprint and supported their broader environmental and sustainability objectives.

Flexible office relocation

Relocating a workforce of over 500 inevitably presents challenges—but our experienced relocation team handled them with precision and adaptability. Originally planned as a single-phase move, the project was restructured into three phases due to unforeseen delays to the new building. We swiftly adjusted our approach, reallocating installation and resource teams to ensure the client’s evolving requirements were fully supported without disruption.

Driven by world-leading research

Our client’s choice of office furniture was inspired by the globally recognised research their institute is known for. To elevate their brand and reflect their pioneering work, they selected calming blue collaborative seating in lighter tones—creating breakout spaces that encourage reflection and meaningful conversations. These environments not only mirror the institute’s identity but also support wellbeing and connection among teams.
