fit-out process

The Brief

To start the process, we’ll talk in-depth about your business, your environment and your aims. Then we’ll create a focused brief, factoring in your wishlist, budget and timescale. This brief is the basis for bringing your ideas to life, and making sure they work for everyone.

Site Survey

We’ll carry out a full, first-hand site survey to make sure we know everything about your space. This gives our designers, tradespeople and fit-out specialists an accurate plan to work from, and helps troubleshoot any site or structural problems in advance, leading to a smoother process.

Space Planning & Design

Our expert space planners analyse how your team currently works together. Using this data, we design your new space to be as efficient and energising as possible. Because every detail is important, from contemporary furniture to custom lighting and acoustic solutions to ergonomic office layouts.


Sometimes a project might need planning permissions and approvals. But don’t worry, we guide you through the process and tick all the boxes on your behalf. Because we understand the current legislation inside out. And we work closely with the Local Authority to make sure everything’s properly planned and in place.

Project Management

You’ll have a dedicated Project Manager who’ll be on-hand throughout the process. Their expertise in planning and managing our teams means you can forget the stress and focus on your business.

Move In

We work relentlessly to make sure everything’s ready for move in. You’ll be kept up-to-date about progress to make sure your project is on track. Once you’re 100% happy that the work is completed to a high standard, you simply move your team in. And we’ll still be on-hand to help with maintenance.

We’ll talk to you about what you want from your new workspace, but we’ll also give you the benefit of our decades of experience, guiding and advising you on everything from layouts to lighting.

Whether you’re moving offices, revamping your current office interior or refurbishing somewhere new, we’ll undertake a full site survey to make sure we know how your space is used currently and what you want to change.

Then, taking into account your budget and timescale, we’ll review your wishlist with you. Acting as office fit-out consultants, we’ll consider

  • how you want the space to feel
  • what technology needs to be included
  • how to futureproof the space
  • where your branding can be incorporated
  • what would make it a more productive environment
  • how we can include energy saving or other environmental elements

Our clients include commercial property developers and landlords as well as businesses like yours so we’re used to working on both Cat A and Cat B fit-outs and can undertake projects at either level with ease.

As well as drawing on our own decades of experience, we work with trusted designers, tradespeople and fit-out specialists to create not just a design, but a complete project plan, clearly laying out timescales and costs as well as any potential issues our team may have identified.

When it comes to securing planning permission, complying with legislation and meeting other requirements, you can leave that to us too. We work closely with Local Authorities and understand the paperwork and approvals that are needed.

Your dedicated project manager will talk you through everything and work with you closely during the whole project. This provides you with a single point of contact right from the start so there’s no confused communication or mixed messages. As an expert in all things office refurbishment-related, they take on the job of managing teams, coordinating contractors and troubleshooting issues, so you can focus on running your business.

Bringing your ideas to life

Gradually, you’ll start to see the project coming to life. From technical drawings, specification sheets and computer visualisations will come an active and busy building site, as partitions are removed and replaced, utilities connected and decoration finalised.

An office refit is likely to be one of the most significant investments you make in your business, so it’s important to ensure that it’s not just fit for purpose now, but into the future too. We keep abreast of style trends and technological developments so we can be sure we’re installing the very latest systems. We’ll iron out any niggles in the new office and ensure dilapidations clauses for your old place are met.
