Committed to sustainability

Moving into a net-zero carbon and all-electric building featuring LEED Gold and BREEAM Excellent certifications, Jazz made it a top priority to ensure their new office fit out reflected their commitment to sustainability, employee wellbeing, and long-term efficiency. Encouraged by the landlord to work towards a sustainable certification to tie in with the basebuild goals, the fit out was carefully planned with environmental responsibility at its core. Our designers selected finishes using responsibly sourced materials (like FSC-certified  timbers), low-emission finishes like cork planters and acoustic panels, and furniture with verified environmental performance. This approach aligns with Jazz’s values of creating spaces that support innovation while respecting both people and the planet.

A global hub for connection and collaboration

Jazz’s head office isn’t just a place to work – it’s a dynamic hub where teams from around the world come together to connect, collaborate, and spark fresh ideas. With employee wellbeing at the heart of the design, the space caters to every working style: from quiet pods for deep focus to open-plan hot desks, creative collaboration zones, and a variety of meeting rooms. Specialist booths were introduced to offer a softer, more comfortable working environment away from traditional meeting rooms. At the centre of the workspace is the Town Hall – a versatile area with flexible seating and AV that enable various formats of delivery to suit the event. This space seamlessly transforms from a canteen into a meeting hub, featuring bleacher-style seating for large presentations and convenient storage built into the base.

Meeting spaces for innovation

With a portfolio of transformative medicines focused on conditions with limited treatment options, Jazz required a global hub built for speed and connection. We designed acoustically treated, AV-equipped meeting spaces to enable seamless collaboration with stakeholders around the world. A mix of formal and informal rooms ensures flexibility, adapting to the needs of each user. Each space features distinct colour palettes and styles – from calming, serene environments to sharp, professional settings – allowing teams to choose the atmosphere that best suits the moment. With the canteen area doubling up as a flexible Town Hall, the simple use of a folding wall transforms the space for training sessions or large-scale events—ready for whatever the day demands.

Inspired by London’s history

The Charlotte Street location played a key role in shaping the design, with many elements paying tribute to Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III, and drawing inspiration from the nearby Queen Charlotte Hotel. Jazz’s office subtly echoes the hotel’s refined aesthetic, most notably through a bespoke privacy pod that exudes the elegance of a five-star retreat. Throughout the space, Jazz-themed posters – a playful nod to the company’s name – bring character to quiet zones and meeting rooms, while celebrating the brand’s global presence.

Wellbeing at the heart of it all

Jazz is a company that truly prioritises employee wellbeing, and this is reflected in the thoughtful design of its office spaces. A dedicated wellbeing room supports a range of needs—from storing medications and breast milk to offering a quiet space for prayer and reflection. Ergonomic sit-stand desks and lumbar-support chairs promote comfort at workstations, while breakout areas encourage informal conversations and relaxation away from task-focused zones. Healthy snacks are available throughout the day, and for those who enjoy winding down after hours, the fridges can be stocked with refreshing drinks to share with colleagues and those visiting the office as clients.
