Our Projects
Jazz Pharmaceuticals is a global company that specialises in transforming biopharmaceutical discoveries into novel medicines. Their patient-focused and science-driven approach powers pioneering research and development advancements and was a huge focus for their office fit out. We worked with the client to plan, design, build and furnish an agile workspace that would foster adaptability, flexibility, and innovation in their way of working.
Designing a workspace that nurtures and values employees was essential for our client, especially as at this time many were transitioning back to the office following COVID. Careful space planning aimed at optimising natural light resulted in the creation of dedicated relaxation areas. Plush velvet sofas were arranged as a trio to overlook the existing courtyard, creating a cosy enclave that radiates understated elegance. This refined and inviting space serves as a haven for quiet reflection, a sophisticated retreat for relaxation, and an informal gathering spot for colleagues and clients alike.
The focus on flexibility in creating a versatile workspace was essential to accommodate varied needs. Agile working fosters flexibility, efficiency, and innovation and their workspace needed to do the same. Alongside fixed desks, thoughtful provisions were made for quieter zones and collaborative areas. Acoustic pods and meeting booths were seamlessly integrated into the floor plan to ensure functionality and harmony. A divisible conference area with a folding wall was designed to accommodate both training sessions and large-scale events, allowing a flexible setup for a wide range of functions.
Meeting rooms enhanced with textured wallpaper and equipped with electric blinds offered additional spaces for break-out sessions for employees. Pendant lights were used to create ambience and targeted illumination within break-out zones, providing a welcoming and stylish atmosphere, adding character and warmth to the workspace. To support employees who engaged in active commutes, such as cycling, running, or walking, our designers also incorporated changing rooms with lockers to ensure active commuters were catered for.
The kitchen was designed to be a bright, modern space centred around a wide island that invites colleagues to gather, eat, drink, and socialise, while also offering a smart storage solution. Adding to the charm of this lively area is a striking banquette seating corner, framed by anthracite grey walls and moss panelling, creating a cosy and more private retreat within the vibrant social hub.
From design, to furniture and maintenance, this project truly was a team effort to realise.
