Our Team
Communication and Engagement Manager
Lizzie has a pole position in COEL as our Communication and Engagement manager. Having worked as both the Business Development Manager and the Marketing Manager, her role is a perfect hybrid of the two disciplines as she embraces amplifying COEL’s position in the market and keeping our team connected with the wider community.
After having my three children, I moved back to Cambridge from London and took some years out to focus on my family. During this time, I helped to host a lot of charity events for our local school, church and community. Little did I know that this would provide invaluable experience for my future role at COEL.
I dipped my toes back into work when I took on a role for a company which sources, supplies and maintains biophilic displays for commercial businesses. It provided me with a fabulous introduction to Cambridge’s business ecosystem which is extremely welcoming. A few years on and I was offered a job at COEL – I was automatically attracted to COEL for the pride they take in their place in the local community. This is evident in the charities we support and the how we support and partner with associates to help raise awareness for different causes and to raise funds for different charities.
One of my highlights is our charity cricket day which takes place at Fenner’s. This started with a humble ambition to host a sporting day out which is accessible and affordable for all and designed to raise funds for charity, as well as spirits! It has grown at an incredible rate with many individuals and organisations from the property and construction sector supporting it. One of the joys of working in Cambridge is how friendly and interconnected everyone is – it really is a very large village.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family, but, in terms of hobbies I am a reader and a rambler – there’s nothing better than taking the dog for a walk …
Lizzie’s understanding of Cambridge’s ecosystem is phenomenal and her enthusiasm to introduce the wider team to key contacts enhances COEL’s network and understanding of the lay of the land. Her commitment to partnering with associates in hosting events and raising money for charity is something which has become embedded in COEL’s DNA, with her unwavering focus on how we can give back.
