I started in construction as an Apprentice in carpentry, and then became a Site Manager for a developer building unique executive houses. During this time I met COEL’s founder, Neil Cook, and we got to know each other through our love of water polo. In 1992 he enticed me to join his partitions company, and the rest is history. In that time COEL has grown from 5 people to 65, and I went from Site Management to Project Management, and then into Operations.
I now sit on the Board of Directors, overseeing quality across a multi-disciplinary team who deal with complex office and fit out projects at multiple sites across the East of England. Since the management buy out we are becoming an even better company, which makes me incredibly proud. I work with some great people and enjoy coming into the office every day.
Swimming and skiing are my go-tos. I also enjoy travelling across the world and spending time with family, and have a weakness for cars – I’m lucky enough to own two sportscars which I love to drive.
