Can you tell us a little about yourself?

With years of experience in the building trade under my belt, I can turn my hand to anything during a fit out project. I have experience building partitions, fitting ceilings, and joinery, through to duct work, electrical and plumbing.

When I started out I actually qualified as a long-distance lorry driver. I then gained experience as a motor mechanic, a panel beater and sprayer also before joining Cambridge partitions (now COEL) back in the 90’s. I now enjoy working in office interiors as the satisfaction that comes with seeing a project come from nothing to something is incredible.

I’ll be in the garden! When I’m not working, I do enjoy a spot of gardening and being in the fresh air and sanctuary of wildlife.

Gary’s diverse role as a fitter at COEL includes installing various elements of the build, including flooring, ceilings, walls, lighting, and other fixtures. Gary assembles shelving, tea points, whilst applying finishes like paint, wallpaper, and cladding to walls and ceilings.

Gary is also skilled at joinery and is often installing bespoke carpentry as per the client’s design. Gary works alongside other skilled trades people and alongside our project managers to ensure the smooth and timely completion of a fit-out project.
