Estimator
Introducing our talented Estimator, Denis Law. Denis joined COEL in 2024 after gaining several years’ experience in construction.
I gained my Quantity Surveying degree from Anglia Ruskin University in 2023, having worked within the construction industry alongside my university studies. I gained considerable experience with a roofing subcontractor company working as a Site Manager and then Surveyor, before moving to a residential main contractor in Cambridge. I joined COEL to further my QS experience, and now work on both estimating and live fit out projects.
I’m very focussed and driven as a young professional. I particularly enjoy visiting sites to review the opportunities of a new fit out project. Following in-depth measurement gathering and liaising with sub-contractors, I get to work on pricing to ensure we can do our best to accommodate our clients’ needs.
I’m a big animal lover. I also really enjoy fitness, especially boxing. To relax, there’s nothing better than reading a good book – and I don’t mind a bit of DIY!
Denis’ role involves researching and estimating design and build fit outs as well as contract tenders from office and lab refurbishments through to CAT A works. Alongside pre-construction project preparation, Denis can be found procuring and delivering live projects, sourcing competitive quotes from suppliers, and working alongside sub-contractors to ensure price efficiency.
