Before joining COEL I spent 15 years in the furniture division of an office equipment company, where I helped develop their office refurbishment services. I then moved to the workspace fit out sector, working as a Contracts Manager, where I expanded the company’s design capabilities and established their furniture division. From there, I joined a design firm to strengthen their success in securing larger refurbishment projects, before ultimately moving to COEL.
My favourite aspect of my role has always been collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and budget, ensuring clear communication throughout the office design and build process. As a perfectionist with a passion for creating inspiring spaces, I am dedicated to providing effective workspace solutions. I love to work, and as a true company man I go above and beyond to ensure COEL can be the best it can.
I’m all about fresh air and family. I love spending time with my family, walking our dogs, playing golf and cooking when I get the chance.
Darren’s role in the Pre-Construction team involves client liaison to ensure the ultimate office or lab design and build can be accomplished within budget and on schedule. Darren prepares tender submissions, highlighting COEL’s vast capabilities and showcasing the interlinked service from design and fit out through to furniture and relocation. When Darren’s not bringing together our Estimators and Designers to ensure effective project preparation, you’ll see him out and about at networking events across Cambridgeshire.
