Head of Commercial
Introducing the man maximising client budgets, Dan Brown. Dan joined COEL at the beginning of 2023 and has risen up the ranks, now heading up our Commercial team.
Having gained my BSc in Construction Management at ARU, I began my career in site management before transitioning into a graduate quantity surveying programme at a national award-winning housebuilder. There, I honed my expertise and progressed to Lead Quantity Surveyor, working on high-end residential projects. I later joined COEL, where I lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and Estimators.
I’m a driven and pragmatic professional, staying calm under pressure and tackling challenges with a problem-solving mindset. I listen to clients and my team, offering helpful and strategic solutions while maintaining a balanced approach. Focused on achieving results, I thrive in dynamic environments, ensuring efficiency and success through practical thinking and adaptability.
I’m a football fanatic! I enjoy playing and watching the game, and regularly partake in fantasy football leagues with my friends.
Daniel oversees cost control, contract management and profitability while leading his team of Quantity Surveyors and Estimators. Through managing budgets, pricing, risk, and client negotiations, Dan contributes to COEL’s financial stability and business growth. His key responsibilities include tendering, reporting, and dispute resolution, driving efficiency and aligning commercial strategy with company objectives.
