Our Team
Maintenance Engineer
There’s nothing this man doesn’t know about building maintenance, introducing Colin Aylward.
I work within the commercial maintenance & PPM department here at COEL, specifically managing our Planned Preventive Maintenace (PPM) contracts across Cambridgeshire. With a lifetime of experience working within the domestic and commercial maintenance, I carry out upgrades and identify where remedial work would improve an installation.
Before joining COEL, I ran my own business within the gas industry for 46 years, working in various roles across engineering and management. I’m hard working, diligent and remain passionate in supporting clients to address and overcome their building maintenance issues. I particularly enjoy supporting new clients from our fit our projects.
Coarse fishing is a huge part of my life. When I’m not freshwater fishing I’m spending time with my family and enjoying the outdoors.
Colin’s maintenance engineer role encompasses a range of roles, from ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a building’s systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, through to water testing.
Colin records and collates evidence of compliance to ensure client’s properties can demonstrate compliance with safety checks. Colin is a City and Guilds Gas Engineer with current certification in legionella monitoring, electrical 18th edition compliance, electrical light testing, PAL operation and plumbing.
