CEO
Introducing our brilliant CEO, Alistair Rumbelow. Al has been part of the foundations of COEL since 2004 and spearheads the growth of our business.
Born into a farming family in Suffolk, I grew up with a strong work ethic. Starting out in the building trade as a glazier in Norwich, I moved to Cambridge and became an Installations Manager for N&C Glass in Ely. This is where I first met Neil Cook, founder of COEL, and we forged a great relationship.
From here I was offered a job at COEL and then worked up the ranks over the years to become CEO in 2021. Working alongside our Directors, we have a very strategic mindset, and focus on fit out, furniture and maintenance contracts that will add value to our clients, and be great projects that our team enjoy working on. We have wonderful staff, and a unique family feel here at COEL, my door is always open to anyone wanting to come along and have a chat.
Grandchildren, outdoor life and long walks with the dogs. There’s plenty to keep me busy alongside my carp and pike fishing and snowboarding trips in Europe.
As CEO, Alistair play a crucial role in leading COEL’s strategic activities for growth. Working alongside property consultancies and developers, Alistair manages key relationships and is there to support our clients with their own ambitions in the office and lab market.
As a one-stop shop for design, build and fit out, our furniture and maintenance services further extend our offering to clients, and Alistair is key in this strategic growth across the Golden Triangle and Cambridge to Oxford Arc. In addition to our growth goals, Al is an advocate for local community and charity, and takes great pride in the funds raised for well-deserving charities across the region.
