About the Role
We’re seeking a creative Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic Design & Build team in Cambridge. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about transforming workplaces and commercial environments, enjoys collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and is eager to grow within a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior designers in developing workplace design concepts and project presentations.
- Produce high-quality SketchUp models, visualisations, and design iterations.
- Assist with space planning, mood boards, material selection, and sample coordination.
- Prepare design documentation, drawing packs, and specifications for internal teams and clients.
- Attend site visits, surveys, and design coordination meetings as required.
- Contribute to multiple concurrent projects, maintaining excellent organisation and attention to detail.

Skills & Experience
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related design field.
- Excellent SketchUp skills — confident modelling and rendering.
- Good understanding of AutoCAD.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a large multidisciplinary team, collaborating with designers, project managers, and technical specialists.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity Revit, Enscape or other visualisation tools.
- Knowledge of workplace design trends, materials, and sustainability principles.
- Previous internship or placement experience in a design studio or D&B environment.
Additional Requirements
Must have access to transport to attend site visits, supplier meetings, and client presentations in and around Cambridge.
