About the Role

We’re seeking a creative Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic Design & Build team in Cambridge. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about transforming workplaces and commercial environments, enjoys collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and is eager to grow within a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior designers in developing workplace design concepts and project presentations.
  • Produce high-quality SketchUp models, visualisations, and design iterations.
  • Assist with space planning, mood boards, material selection, and sample coordination.
  • Prepare design documentation, drawing packs, and specifications for internal teams and clients.
  • Attend site visits, surveys, and design coordination meetings as required.
  • Contribute to multiple concurrent projects, maintaining excellent organisation and attention to detail.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related design field.
  • Excellent SketchUp skills — confident modelling and rendering.
  • Good understanding of AutoCAD.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a large multidisciplinary team, collaborating with designers, project managers, and technical specialists.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity Revit, Enscape or other visualisation tools.
  • Knowledge of workplace design trends, materials, and sustainability principles.
  • Previous internship or placement experience in a design studio or D&B environment.

Additional Requirements

Must have access to transport to attend site visits, supplier meetings, and client presentations in and around Cambridge.
