Bowman Ingredients is a leading innovator in food development and manufacturing, supporting brands across the UK and global markets. Rapid expansion created the need for a new headquarters near their existing facility. We were appointed to design and refurbish the space, delivering an environment that supports both specialist operational areas and an uplifting workspace for office-based teams.
Visitors are welcomed by impressive curved, floor to ceiling windows that create immediate impact and set the tone for the building. Chevron flooring enhances the Art Deco-inspired aesthetic, while colourful furniture and lush planting add vibrancy. A minimalist duotone reception desk complements the refined, understated styling.
The design throughout the workplace embraces clean lines and a contemporary palette. Royal azure blue acts as the project’s signature colour, balanced with citrus accents and natural materials. Geometric furniture, bleacher seating and thoughtfully curated décor give the space an architectural, modern feel. Industrial lighting pays homage to the site’s manufacturing roots.
The kitchen features a distinctive combination of vertically stacked wall tiles and decorative timber slats, producing a simple yet sophisticated look. These areas support informal collaboration, relaxation and connection between departments.
Our mechanical team delivered a suite of advanced systems to support Bowman’s research, development and production environments. This included climate control and general ventilation across compressor rooms, analytical areas, pilot plants and kitchens, along with chilled process water and specialist extract systems designed for fryer rooms and production zones. The team also installed bespoke kitchen extract canopies for development, sensory and customer kitchens, and completed a full refurbishment of the air handling units to enhance efficiency and control. Additionally, a high‑efficiency Mitsubishi VRF system was fitted to provide reliable heating and cooling throughout the office spaces.
