Estimator
As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in COEL’s future development and success. You’ll be responsible for delivering a continuous flow of new business and identifying future opportunities in both competitive tendering and design & build projects. This is a key position within our Preconstruction and Estimating team, working on projects ranging from £100k to £8m across Cambridge, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Norwich, and London.
- Salary: circa £50k plus £4,500 car allowance

Position Full Details:
Key Responsibilities
- Pursue new business opportunities and manage tender submissions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Visit project sites, review bids/specifications, and prepare quotations
- Compile construction sequencing programmes and pricing for tender bids
- Analyse risks, perform take-offs, and conduct post-tender analysis
- Negotiate material costs and produce detailed scopes of work
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and company policies
About you:
What We’re Looking For Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in construction/fit-out estimating
• Strong understanding of construction processes and building regulations
• Competence in Microsoft Office; experience with Eque2 Evaluate and MS Project is desirable
