Our Projects
Bidwells are a leading real estate adviser specialising in the UK’s most pioneering sectors: science & technology, sustainability, and residential living, working across the Golden Triangle. We worked with Bidwells to design furniture, fixtures and equipment packages, build and furnish their refurbished workspace that would bring together over forty teams, in one of the country’s first agile working communities.
Encouraging a versatile, cooperative, and dynamic work style was one of the key considerations of this agile office design and build. With their workforce entrusted to get the work done, how and where they work best, the design brief included many zones from casual cafe space through to booths, hot desks to ‘touch down’ through to bench-style benching. Their workplace needed to be completely flexible to embody agile working which meant there were no fully enclosed areas, apart from a few meeting rooms, and minimal fixed desking.
When planning the space, we were keen to provide separation between the research areas and the client areas. Bold signage has been installed in the reception space to welcome visitors and enhance their experience of the brand on arrival. Individual meeting rooms of differing sizes run off the reception area, which provide space to entertain clients, before progressing through the hallway to the communal staff areas.
To Bidwells’, their people, together with their clients, are everything, and they pride themselves on the ability to offer quality consultancy and advice that forges successful long-term working partnerships. Historically, pubs have been the heart of local communities, a place to share stories and unwind, but now their office offers the same value in their property circles. Comfortable and quirky soft seating offers a place to talk with clients and colleagues, and their daytime cafe doubles up as an impressive evening venue with lighting and AV offering a bar/club feel for socialising.
From the moment you enter Bidwells’ Head office, you feel the stylishly designed welcoming reception as you would at a pub with rooms. This not only provides a comfortable environment for visiting clients, it also doubles up to offer additional informal meeting and working spaces. We can’t forget the importance of private meeting space, and their large boardroom with folding walls provides a completely flexible space for important and strategic meetings.
