She’s the go-to girl when you’re in need of new office furniture and will make sure the price is right, meet Maddie Burgess.
I have consistently worked in customer service and client-facing roles throughout my career. I began in retail before transitioning to a position at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Building on the transferable skills I developed, I spent eight years in the computer games industry, initially in a facilities team and later in a talent acquisition team, before joining COEL in 2022.
I conduct on-site surveys to fully understand client spaces and deliver a tailored, bespoke furniture planning service. Managing and nurturing client relationships, I go above and beyond developing relationships with our suppliers, continually seeking opportunities to enhance COEL’s offerings to meet our client’s vision.
Gig-goer and family entertainer. When I’m not paddle boarding or kayaking with the kids, I enjoy finding new hobbies – and I can’t resist a fancy restaurant or cocktail bar.
Working as an Estimator in our Furniture team, Maddie is responsible for liaising with our clients regarding their initial requirements then forming a proposal with differing furniture options based on price, quality and suitability. Much of her work includes collaborating with the design team to refine space planning and crucial details regarding fabrics, demonstrating her creative flair and focus on team collaboration.
As a main point of contact, Maddie provides outstanding customer service to our clients throughout their project, with a focus on relationship building, and planning and organisation at the heart of her role.
