Can you tell us a little about yourself?

My career began in 2007 at Kershaw Mechanical Services, where I completed a four-year apprenticeship before progressing to foreman. In 2022, I ventured into self-employment, working on multiple local projects before joining COEL at the start of 2024.

As Senior Maintenance Engineer at COEL, I manage the mechanical aspects of our PPM contracts, provide quotations for maintenance tasks and special projects, and work hands-on across various sites. With a keen eye for detail, a methodical approach, and strong communication skills, I thrive on problem-solving and delivering practical, resourceful solutions.

Away from work, I’m always outdoors—whether motocross and enduro racing, mountain biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, or tackling my next DIY project. I bring the same energy and drive to my work, ensuring top-quality service and a solutions-focused approach to every challenge.

Ben is a key member of our maintenance team, primarily working on our building maintenance contracts (PPM’s) and reactive maintenance contracts across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding region. Ben’s expertise is backed by an NVQ Level 3 in Heating and Ventilation, SSSTS certification, and various site-based training in legionella, MEWPS, and more.
